Feb/Mar Cleanse- Day Nine

Gearing up for my trip to the gym, will be juicing a fabulous fruit juice to give myself the energy. Today is a busy/exciting day! We are leaving for Hawaii tomorrow morning! I decided to do an early blog post before all the packing and cleaning begins and I forget. I haven't decided whether I'm going to continue to post about my cleanses each month only because I've decided that rather then doing 10 days in a row, I am going to aim to drink juice throughout the month and aim to have 10 days sprinkled throughout the month where I ONLY drink juice. As stated in previous posts, I need to try different ways to see what works best for me. The goal is to find a way to make juicing a permanent part of my life to keep myself healthy and at my weight loss goal that I have FINALLY achieved : ) Aloha!

Feb/Mar Cleanse- Day Eight

I have been doing a fabulous job of working out since my 30 day cleanse ended. I've worked out every single day! I know! That's crazy! I've started going to 3 classes in a row at my gym on Saturday mornings. Last weekend, I ate a bagel thinking that all the carbs would give me the energy I needed to get through the two hour workout, but it didn't really. After the first class, I was definitely not giving it my all. Today I drank juice and I had an extreme amount of energy that lasted through all of my classes! I couldn't believe the difference in how I felt from last Saturday's workout! If that isn't a testament to the amazing power of juicing, I don't know what is. I will definitely be making sure to make juice for myself before every big Saturday workout : )

Feb/Mar Cleanse- Day Seven

So last night I gorged on sushi to the point of making myself sick : ( I was just so excited about eating food that I literally couldn't stop myself! But it has made me realize that I need to make some more adjustments to my juicing lifestyle. I've decided that depriving myself of food for a certain amount of time makes it that much harder for me to control my portion sizes when I go back to eating food. And portion control has never been my strong suit. What I will try in the future is drinking mostly juice that I've made throughout certain days sprinkled throughout the month, as oppose to doing a straight 10 days, and making sure to still eat healthy foods like fruits and vegetables throughout the day. And if that doesn't help things, I'll make more adjustments. It's all a part of the juicing journey I'm on : ) The goal is to make juicing a part of my life from now on, rather than a diet fad I tried one time. And of course, to make sure and keep this weight off that has literally taken me 10 years to get shed.

Feb/Mar Cleanse- Day Six

Even though I am doing a cleanse right now, I've decided to accept my cousin's invitation to meet for sushi tonight. I did the whole hermit thing with the 30 day cleanse and I've decided not to punish myself like that now that I've met my Weight Watchers weight goal and feeling great about myself. Mmm I do love sushi.

Feb/Mar Cleanse- Day Five

Nothing new to report, just another day in the life of a juicer. Oh! How could I forget?? We are going to Hawaii in a few days and I pulled out my old summer clothes. And you guessed it... I looked A-MAZING in everything! Well not everything, some of the stuff was too big (even the things that were too small for me last summer!) I think I'm a size 6 now, which I don't ever remember being that small even in high school! It's moments like those that make this journey worth it!

Feb/Mar Cleanse- Day Four

By body seriously craves fruits and veggies so bad!! Today on my way home from the gym, I literally had to pull into a Safeway and get a bunch of bananas and broccoli. I had to eat the banana in the car because I was craving it so bad. I had ran out of broccoli yesterday I knew I wasn't going to survive the night without my usual big bowl full. I love these new cravings!

Feb/Mar Cleanse- Day Three

Here is what I ate for dinner. So yummy! Broccoli, asparagus, and a strawberry salad. I'm so happy that I decided to eat a vegetable dinner, rather then juice. I still feel amazing and have all the perks of the juice cleanse, I'm just not trying to stove the disgusting vegetable juice down my throat each night : )
